Michael Levin, a Philadelphia resident, was able to achieve his lifelong dream of making Aliyah three years ago and joining the Israeli Defense Forces. He served in an elite paratroop unit #890 and made the ultimate sacrifice in Lebanon on August 1st, 2006 while defending the nation of Israel.
A charitable fund bearing his name has been established to provide funding for needy IDF soldiers. Specifically, those “Lone Soldiers” like Michael, who left their homes and families, from countries all over the world, to follow their Zionist dreams of making a new life for themselves in Israel.
Recent programs have included the fit of 43 custom made combat ammunition vests for Michael’s paratroop company and a first time ever full day event for 325 “Lone Soldiers”. A day that featured fun, relaxation, and education, focusing on the soldiers’ rights, education and employment opportunities once they finish their service in the IDF.
The family of Michael Levin deeply appreciates your heartfelt sympathies and any financial support you can lend to this worthwhile project.
100% of your gift is tax deductible and will be used entirely for IDF Lone Soldier projects. |
